Roles & Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Strictly follow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in daily activities.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and actively contribute to maintaining a safety-first environment.
  • Participate in emergency drills and remain ready to respond to incidents such as fire, gas release, or medical emergencies.
  • Support routine operations during day and night shifts as directed.
  • Coordinate with the Panel Operator to carry out field operations safely and efficiently.
  • Perform assigned tasks under valid work permits, ensuring compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  • Attend Toolbox Talks (TBT) before starting any job and follow instructions provided by the work leader.
  • Confirm availability and readiness of safety systems, barriers, and emergency equipment prior to starting work.
  • Assist in preparing equipment for maintenance, including isolations, depressurization, and tagging, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Support the application of isolations (e.g, LO/LC tags & isolation plans).
  • Conduct regular test runs on standby equipment and report any abnormalities
  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance and repairs across instrumentation, electrical, and operational systems as assigned.
  • Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on field equipment.
  • Perform installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and testing of instrumentation and electrical components.
  • Isolate and reinstate filters and strainers for routine element change-out.
  • Use appropriate test tools to verify the performance of field devices such as actuators, sensors, protection devices, and motors.
  • Monitor field equipment and systems and report abnormal conditions.
  • Ensure all fire and gas detection systems are functional and report any anomalies.
  • Support inspections and functional checks of safety and control valves, including ESDVs, SDVs, and PSVs.
  • Assist in field operation tasks such as equipment line-up, monitoring parameters, start-up/shutdown support, sampling, draining, and chemical dosing.
  • Identify and report any unsafe conditions, equipment issues or process deviations during rounds or assigned tasks.
  • Utilize digital tools and systems for reporting, logging activities, and accessing work instructions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electromechanical, or a related Engineering Technology field from a recognized technical institute.
  • Additional certification or training in Process Operations or Multi skilled Technician Programs is an advantage.
  • NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 3.
  • PTW Training Certification.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience Instrumentation maintenance within LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
  • Experience in similar position (years): 5 years' specific maintenance experience in the oil refining, gas or petrochemical industry.
