Roles & Responsibilities


The Opportunity

In this field-based leadership role, you will be responsible for the full cycle of orchard management from planning and planting to harvesting and post-harvest handling. You will drive productivity, crop quality, and resource efficiency while ensuring that all farming practices align with both local and international standards.

What You ll Do

  • Manage daily operations across orchard fields, including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and pruning, tailored to mango, banana, and avocado crops.
  • Lead and coach the field team to meet production targets and maintain high-quality crop outcomes.
  • Monitor plant health, soil conditions, and weather patterns to optimize growing conditions and yield.
  • Coordinate with agronomy, logistics, and supply chain teams to align farm activities with harvesting and distribution schedules.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), health and safety regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee resource planning, labor allocation, and cost control to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Greenhouse & Open-Field Management

  • Manage all greenhouse crops, including tomatoes, peppers (capsicum/sweet bite), and cucumbers, from nursery stage to harvest.
  • Oversee all open-field crops, including watermelon, melon, pumpkin, and eggplant, ensuring proper land preparation, planting, and cultivation techniques.
  • Develop and oversee planting schedules, crop rotation, and irrigation strategies for all open-field crops.
  • Monitor crop health daily, identifying and addressing issues related to pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Manage all aspects of cultivation, including land preparation, seeding, fertilization, and weed control.
  • Monitor crop development and health, making data-driven decisions to maximize yield and quality.
  • Coordinate the use, maintenance, and efficient operation of large-scale farm machinery.

Desired Candidate Profile

What You ll Bring

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in farm management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing both greenhouse and open-field operations.
  • Specific knowledge of the cultivation requirements for Tomato, Pepper, Cucumber, Watermelon, Melon, Pumpkin, and Eggplant.
  • Bachelor s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field; a Master s degree is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of orchard cultivation practices, crop nutrition, irrigation systems, and harvest planning.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and resolve field-level challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency in agricultural software tools and Microsoft Office; fluent in English.
