Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and review structural calculations, design models, and specifications for façade steel structures.
- Assess loads (dead, live, wind, thermal, seismic) and ensure designs comply with international codes and UAE regulations.
- Coordinate closely with architects, façade specialists, and contractors to achieve aesthetic and functional integration.
- Evaluate shop drawings, fabrication details, and material compliance for structural accuracy.
- Provide technical input during material selection, tender reviews, and façade performance testing in coordination with the façade and procurement teams.
- Provide on-site technical support to resolve design and installation issues.
- Ensure sustainability, safety, and long-term durability in all design solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7–12 years of structural engineering experience, with a strong focus on façade and steel structures.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of façade systems, materials (steel, glass, aluminium, composites), and applicable standards (AISC, ASTM, BS, EN).
- Experience working on high-rise or luxury real estate projects in the UAE/GCC.
- Familiarity with BIM and parametric tools (Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
