Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently while paying close attention to guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to established service standards.
- Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guest needs and addressing any concerns or requests with courtesy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including tables, service areas, and equipment, to ensure a hygienic and appealing environment.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy, resolving problems effectively and escalating to management when necessary.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment while following established procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service, fostering a positive work environment.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds a relevant food safety certification, ensuring knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Demonstrates at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry, showcasing familiarity with guest interaction.
- Exhibits fluency in English (written and spoken), enabling effective communication with guests and colleagues.
- Displays strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication and active listening abilities, to build rapport with guests.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash transactions, showcasing technical aptitude.
- Exhibits a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, demonstrating personal qualities.
- Possesses the physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds, demonstrating physical abilities.
- Shows adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, showcasing flexibility and time management skills.
- Displays a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
