Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the dining room service, ensuring seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Train and mentor service staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment to elevate service standards.
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to provide informed recommendations.
- Manage table reservations and seating arrangements, optimizing the dining room layout for maximum efficiency and guest comfort.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, service expectations, and any relevant information.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Uphold and enforce all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
- Hold relevant certifications in food safety and alcohol service.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar establishment.
- Exhibit strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and train staff.
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Show proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and reservation software.
- Possess a solid understanding of food and beverage service standards.
- Be fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
