Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor extrusion machines to produce paper and/or plastic sheets, films, or profiles as per specifications.
- Set up machines by adjusting settings such as temperature, speed, pressure, and feed rate.
- Load raw materials (resins, polymers, additives, etc.) and ensure continuous feeding into the extruder.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products, including thickness, color, and finish.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or process deviations.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and machinery.
- Record production data such as output quantity, downtime, and material usage.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to company safety guidelines.
- Assist in preventive maintenance and minor repairs of the extrusion machines.
- Work closely with the production and maintenance teams to optimize output and minimize waste.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 35 years of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator in the plastic or paper industry.
- Knowledge of extrusion processes (Blown film, Cast film, Sheet extrusion, etc.).
- Familiarity with different types of polymers and additives.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
