Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the company s market share in international markets for plastics products.
- Identify potential customers and distributors in new international markets.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with international clients and distributors.
- Achieve export sales targets and objectives for the company s plastics products.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key international clients, ensuring continued business growth.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
- Coordinate the export logistics process, ensuring products are shipped efficiently, in compliance with international standards, and on time.
- Manage all aspects of shipment documentation (bills of loading, export licenses, customs declarations, etc.).
- Work closely with shipping and logistics teams to solve any issues related to delivery and transportation.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, including customs regulations, tariffs, and trade restrictions.
- Prepare and manage export documentation to guarantee smooth customs clearance and avoid delays.
- Monitor and stay updated on changes in regulations that affect the export of plastics products.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide ongoing support and solutions to international customers regarding products, orders, and shipment inquiries.
- Address any post-sale issues or complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term business relationships.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends and potential markets for plastics products.
- Develop sales strategies based on market research, competition, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional strategies for international markets
- Train and guide junior export staff as needed
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor s degree in international business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- A master s degree or further qualifications in international trade or business is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in export sales or international trade, with a preference for experience in the plastics, polymer, or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding markets for export products.
- Experience in managing logistics and international shipping processes.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping, and export documentation.
- Knowledge of logistics and international shipping processes.
Skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping, and export documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly for trade management.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer or logistical issues.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.).
