Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Growth & Business Development • Identify / generate new business in terms of untapped markets and customers • Ensure repeat business from existing customers by engaging them effectively and providing quality service • Set / meet performance targets and provide a comprehensive picture to the resorting manager including periodic reports , market insights etc • Develop and execute the company’s export and re-export strategy for automotive brands • Identify and evaluate new international markets, dealers, and business opportunities to grow volumes and revenue. • Build long-term partnerships with overseas importers, distributors, and fleet buyers. • Track market trends, changing requirements, competitor activities so as to develop an optimum business strategy and approach. Operations & Documentation Management • Oversee the entire chain of export operations including order management, shipping, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery. • Ensure that adequate margin is maintained through customized pricing , negotiation and management of expenses. • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all export related documentation in collaboration with the related internal and external stakeholders. • Perform appropriate due diligence to manage various risks associated with customers & payments including credit terms ,if any • Coordinate with the finance department to take care of various aspects such as currency, payment terms etc. • Effectively follow up and complete all documentations , approvals and compliance related to customs , freezones and other agencies. • Ensure that receivables are tracked and followed up to avoid payment delays and cash flow issues. Team Management & Coordination • Ensure adequate coordination with all internal stakeholders to ensure product availability , timely shipping / delivery and problem solving • Manage the export team and provide adequate guidance and monitoring to effectively run the export operations
Desired Candidate Profile
•Background of business development and sales ,preferably in automotive sector • Strong understanding of international trade, export regulations, customs compliance, and documentation • Knowledge of automotive industry , markets, and supply chain dynamics • Familiarity with foreign exchange, international payment mechanisms, competitor landscape, and regulatory environments. Education & Experience • A Bachelor / Master Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing , etc would be ideal • Any qualifications / certifications in international trade ,export management etc would be beneficial • Around 8 to 10 years’ experience in a senior role in sales / export / business development preferably in automotive or related sectors.
