Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining efficiency and organization.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage kitchen staff by providing training, guidance, and support to foster a productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste through efficient practices.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize kitchen operations while maintaining quality and presentation of food.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste to uphold the restaurant's reputation and guest satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution to ensure foundational knowledge in cooking techniques.
  • Previous experience in high-volume establishments, such as fine-dining restaurants or luxury hotels, is highly regarded.
  • Proven track record of menu development and execution, showcasing creativity and understanding of flavor profiles.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to maintain kitchen compliance and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability under pressure and during peak hours.
  • Proficiency in culinary software and inventory management systems to streamline kitchen operations effectively.
