Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and execute high-quality inflight menus aligned with airline standards
  • Lead and train kitchen teams to maintain consistency and efficiency
  • Oversee food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with procurement for ingredient sourcing and cost control
  • Innovate based on passenger preferences, airline feedback, and market trends
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining efficiency and organization.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage kitchen staff by providing training, guidance, and support to foster a productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste through efficient practices.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize kitchen operations while maintaining quality and presentation of food.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste to uphold the restaurant's reputation and guest satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation or inflight catering
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution to ensure foundational knowledge in cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP and airline catering standards
