Roles & Responsibilities
About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Executive Chef to join the resort s Culinary Academy team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Develop and implement the vision, mission, and strategy for the Culinary Academy in alignment with Wynn Al Marjan Island Resorts overall culinary philosophy
Lead and inspire a diverse team of instructors, sous chefs, and trainers to deliver world-class culinary education.
Curriculum & Training Development
- Manage the Culinary Academy s teaching kitchens, demo theatres, and training facilities, ensuring state-of-the-art equipment and best practices
Actively mentor culinary staff across Wynn properties to nurture future leaders.
Establish apprenticeship programs and cross-training initiatives with operational kitchens.
- Lead research and development initiatives in collaboration with property Executive Chefs to innovate menus, techniques, and food presentation.
Partner with HR and Learning & Development to integrate culinary training into employee career paths.
- Continuously update training content to reflect global culinary trends, innovation, and Wynn Resorts evolving standards.
Design and oversee comprehensive training programs covering classical cooking techniques, modern gastronomy, baking & pastry, butchery, nutrition, sustainability, and food innovation.
Create specialized programs for leadership development (Chef de Partie, Sous Chefs, Junior Chefs).
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum 10 15 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including Executive Chef or senior culinary training roles in luxury hotels, resorts, or culinary institutions.
Proven expertise in menu development, modern gastronomy, classical cooking, and global cuisines.
Strong background in culinary education, training program design, and talent development.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills with multicultural teams.
Professional culinary certification from a recognized institution; additional certifications in food safety and nutrition preferred
