Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The role of an Execution Lead at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant involves overseeing, coordinating, and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of specific operational, maintenance, or project activities in strict adherence to nuclear safety, industrial safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities and duties typically include: Core Responsibilities
• Task Execution and Oversight: Leading and supervising teams (which may include contractors) in the performance of maintenance, project installation, commissioning, or specific operational tasks (e.g., fuel handling, electrical maintenance, I&C maintenance).
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality, complying with Nawah standards, national regulations (FANR), and industry best practices (WANO). This includes rigorous implementation of programs like Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), Human Performance (HU), and the Corrective Action Program (CAP).
• Planning and Scheduling: Collaborating with planning and outage management teams to ensure activities are properly planned, scheduled, and resourced. This involves preparing for work activities, securing necessary spare parts and tools, and adhering to critical path schedules.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Providing technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex equipment or system issues in a timely and correct manner.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all activities, including maintenance history, test results, and project progress reports, in compliance with documentation and configuration management procedures.
• Training and Mentorship: Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their technical competencies and ensure the implementation of management expectations on the conduct of work.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as a liaison between different departments (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Contractors) to ensure smooth communication and alignment of work activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Education:A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science field is often required for higher-level roles (e.g., Senior Project Manager, Principal Engineer), while technical diplomas/high school certifications with extensive experience are applicable for lead technician roles.
• Experience:Significant relevant experience, including a specific amount of experience in a nuclear power plant environment, often in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Experience with Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) or specific plant designs like the APR-1400 is highly valued.
• Certifications:Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP for Project Managers, specific technical certifications for technicians) are often preferred.
• Competencies:Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, precision, resilience, and a profound commitment to nuclear safety culture.
