Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for pricing requirements.
- Carefully study inquiries and clarify specifications.
- Identify cost-effective planning by analyzing materials and processes.
- Calculate material costs, labor hours, press time, and other expenses to determine the overall project cost, considering factors like paper type, ink, and finishing.
- Analyze job specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for offset printing projects.
- Prepare detailed and well-organized estimates, including breakdowns of costs, profit margins, and potential risks, ensuring clarity for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and evaluate vendor quotes, negotiating prices to secure the best possible rates for materials and services, leading to improved profitability.
- Maintain a database of pricing, vendor information, and production data to facilitate quick and efficient quoting, improving response times.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and customer service teams to clarify project requirements and resolve any discrepancies, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and printing processes to provide accurate and informed estimates, enhancing competitiveness.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative solutions to optimize project budgets without compromising quality, which can lead to more business.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, showcasing strong organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of estimates and addressing any concerns, building strong relationships and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to determine cost elements.
- Consult with sales, vendors, and personnel to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Perform calculations manually and using software.
- Analyze materials, time, machine labor, and methods to create effective quotes.
- Develop knowledge of available materials and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain standard procedures for estimating.
- Conduct job cost analysis.
Requirements:
•minimum 3-5 years of experience in the printing field.
