An Estimator and Cost Controller plays a crucial role in the successful execution of projects by ensuring cost management and financial efficiency. The professional will create detailed cost estimates and budgets to help guide project planning and execution. Additionally, the Estimator and Cost Controller will monitor ongoing expenditures against the budget, identify and analyze variances, and work with team members to develop solutions to cost control issues. Responsibilities

• Evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements and costs.
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on materials, labor, and timeline considerations.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive cost budgets for various project phases.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish realistic financial goals.
• Analyze and review budget changes and prepare accurate variance reports.
• Monitor project costs continuously and initiate appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential financial impacts on project budgets.
• Prepare and present cost analysis reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases for accurate future estimations.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to control costs.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures to improve financial efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an estimator and cost controller in a similar industry.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail in cost estimation.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and advanced Excel skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
• Sound understanding of project management methodologies and financial principles.
