Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Once receipt of RFQ, prompt review of the documents for its completeness and clarifying with client formally, wherever required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather all necessary information for cost estimation.
  • Analyze blueprints, construction documents, and project plans to determine scope and required contents of the estimate.
  • Prepare detailed estimates by evaluating the labor, material, equipment, and time requirements for all project stages.
  • Able to clearely communicate with the client on technical clarifications orally and in writing.
  • Ensure alignment of estimates with project engineering and construction methodologies.
  • Coordinate with procurement to obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a cost database and a set of cost estimating tools and methods.
  • Prepare and present estimation reports to management and clients, highlighting key cost drivers.
  • Work closely with the Lead Estimation Engineer to ensure estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
  • Support the Lead Estimation Engineer in the continuous improvement of estimation processes and practices.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare accurate and competitive price quotations for customers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date details on the BID Log register.
  • Generate reports as required by the sales team and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in cost estimation within the oil and gas industry on products such as Process Equipment, Skid mounted packages, Offshore Modules etc.
  • -Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
