Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure and building projects in line with tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Review project requirements, BOQ, technical documents, and drawings to ensure complete and precise estimation.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and pricing of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract works.
  • Prepare and submit cost proposals, tenders, and quotations within stipulated deadlines.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for updated material prices and subcontractor quotations.
  • Analyze risks, cost variances, and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Support project and management teams with estimation data during project execution.
  • Maintain a database of rates, suppliers, and subcontractors specific to the UAE market.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and stakeholders during tender clarifications.
  • Prepare post-tender analysis and assist in negotiation processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimation for civil infrastructure and building projects within the UAE market.
  • Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, quantity surveying, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction codes, regulations, and market rates.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and estimation software.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advantage: Prior experience in telecom-related civil works (e.g., ducting, trenching, manholes, and related infrastructure).
