Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to focus on overseeing and managing environmental compliance, sustainability efforts, and the environmental aspects of large-scale projects .

What You'll Be Doing;

• Develops and implements environmental management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Coordinates environmental assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential risks and mitigate environmental impacts during the project lifecycle.
• Works closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into all stages of the project, from design to construction and operation.
• Provides technical expertise and guidance on environmental issues, including waste management, water and air quality, soil contamination, and biodiversity protection.
• Monitors and reports on environmental performance metrics, ensuring that environmental goals and objectives are met.
• Ensures that all necessary environmental permits and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project.
• Leads the identification and implementation of sustainable practices, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
• Conducts training and awareness programs for project teams to ensure compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
• Reviews project plans and designs to ensure alignment with environmental regulations and sustainability targets.
• Liaises with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the community to address environmental concerns and ensure transparency.
• Prepares environmental reports and documentation, including regulatory filings, environmental impact assessments, and compliance records.
• Identifies areas for environmental improvement, recommending corrective actions and strategies for minimizing environmental impacts.
• Performs other duties as required to ensure successful environmental management throughout the project lifecycle.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

• Bachelor s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Typically 7+ years of experience in environmental management, environmental compliance, or related roles in large-scale projects
• Experience with environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and environmental permitting processes
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental management systems, and sustainability practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex environmental issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and regulatory bodies
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, promoting environmental awareness and compliance
• Proficiency in environmental management software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
