As an Environmental Consultant (Marine), you will be at the forefront of preserving and enhancing our marine ecosystems. You'll be responsible for providing expertise and solutions to mitigate the impacts of human activities in marine environments. Your role will involve assessing marine environmental data, conducting field studies, and formulating strategies to ensure the sustainable management of marine resources. You will work with various stakeholders, including governmental bodies, NGOs, and private sector clients, to implement best practices and comply with environmental regulations. Your insights will drive initiatives that protect marine habitats while facilitating responsible industrial and recreational use of marine resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed marine environmental impact assessments for proposed developments.
• Develop environmental management plans tailored to marine ecosystems' specific needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive environmental solutions.
• Prepare and present reports on marine environmental conditions and project impacts.
• Oversee field studies and data collection efforts in marine environments.
• Advise clients on compliance with marine environmental regulations and policies.
• Design and implement marine habitat restoration and conservation programs.
• Analyze marine pollution sources and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Supervise marine biologists and technicians in conducting environmental surveys.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainable marine resource management practices.
• Stay updated on the latest marine environmental research and technological advancements.
• Provide training sessions to educate stakeholders on marine environmental issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in marine environmental consulting or related fieldwork.
• Strong knowledge of marine ecosystems, environmental laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing marine data critically.
• Ability to conduct and lead complex marine field surveys effectively.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information to varied audiences.
• Proficiency in environmental software tools and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
