Roles & Responsibilities

A'soud Global School (AGS) Salalah is seeking a well-qualified and passionate English teacher to join our ambitious and supportive secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-looking international school in a phase of rapid growth.

AGS Salalah is a vibrant, international community in the heart of the Dhofar region of Oman. We currently provide education from KG1 to Year 10, with learners entered for their IGCSEs, and we are in an exciting phase of growth as we expand further into both primary and secondary.

We follow the Cambridge International Curriculum, giving our learners the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Alongside academic excellence, we place a strong emphasis on character, curiosity, and care for others.

At the heart of our culture is a close partnership with parents and the wider community. We believe that learning is most powerful when it is shared, and we actively seek to build open, trusting relationships that support every child s development and wellbeing.

Salalah, on Oman s southern coast, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. With its famous Khareef season, stunning beaches, mountains, and a warm, welcoming community, it provides an excellent lifestyle for those seeking both adventure and tranquillity. The city has a growing expatriate network, good amenities, and easy links to Muscat and Dubai.

  • Hold consistently high expectations of all learners and believe in every child s potential.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in ICT and Business Studies, with experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (including IGCSE).
  • Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that develop digital skills, business awareness, and critical thinking.
  • Confidently integrate technology into teaching and assessment, modelling effective use of ICT in the classroom.
  • Guide learners in using digital tools safely and responsibly, embedding digital citizenship.
  • Use assessment data effectively to track progress, inform planning, and support personalised learning.
  • Create a classroom environment that is purposeful, supportive, and challenging.
  • Be highly motivated, adaptable, and resilient, with a strong commitment to international education.
  • Work in close partnership with parents, colleagues, and school leaders to maximise learner outcomes.
  • Contribute actively to our one team ethos valuing collaboration, openness, and mutual support.
  • Support learners with exam preparation, coursework, and the development of independent study skills.
  • Bring enthusiasm to extra-curricular life, for example through coding clubs, enterprise challenges, or other ICT/Business-related activities.
  • Show a genuine commitment to their own growth as a professional, making the most of the development opportunities available at AGS.
