Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
What You ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering teams to design, develop, and own end-to-end software solutions
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to align business and customer needs with technical strategies
- Drive technical excellence through lean, agile, and XP practices including TDD, Pair Programming, and Continuous Refactoring
- Oversee distributed systems architecture, ensuring scalability, availability, and efficiency of services
- Guide discovery, planning, and execution to deliver value in small, iterative batches
- Support team self-organization, continuous improvement, and empowerment
- Contribute to strategic initiatives across the wider technology organization
- Ensure adherence to quality, performance, monitoring, and security standards
- Partner with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in technical leadership and people management
Strong background in Extreme Programming practices and agile methodologies
Experience in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs
Proficiency in Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery pipelines
Proven ability to design, monitor, and scale web applications and APIs
Familiarity with mobile development lifecycle and emerging mobile technologies
Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Strong understanding of DevOps tools, performance monitoring, and security practices
Excellent communication skills with ability to manage stakeholders and dependencies
Growth mindset, collaborative spirit, and ability to mentor and coach engineering talent
