Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage plant maintenance functions, ensuring all assignments are completed efficiently and safely.

  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) systems, inspection routines, spare parts inventory control, job scheduling, and staff training.

  • Ensure optimum spares and parts inventory, balancing cost efficiency with risk of downtime.

  • Monitor and control maintenance expenditure, including repairs, resources, labour, overtime, and contractor costs.

  • Lead the WCM Professional Maintenance pillar to drive continuous improvement.

  • Plan and implement infrastructure improvement projects related to energy, water, utilities, and services.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Production teams to improve line efficiencies and reduce waste.

  • Manage breakdowns, repairs, and modifications of factory equipment to ensure trouble-free production.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with quality and safety standards.

  • Provide technical expertise for engineering support, reducing operational costs and optimizing production processes.

  • Support facility upgrades, machine modifications, and development projects for process efficiency.

  • Develop strategies to reduce breakdowns, improve reliability, and enhance plant safety.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology. 5–10 years of relevant plant maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant (Aerosols & Cosmetics preferred).

  • Hands-on experience in managing high-speed packaging lines and ancillary equipment.

  • Strong knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) / WCM (World Class Manufacturing).

  • Technical troubleshooting expertise across engineering functions. Experience in utility machinery (Air Compressors, Chillers, AC Systems).

  • Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) is an advantage.

  • Proven experience in building and developing engineering/maintenance teams.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Age: Below 35 years preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Driven, energetic, and results-oriented, with ability to work under pressure.

  • Willingness to relocate within group companies and travel as required.
