Roles & Responsibilities

Project Context

Within the Synthesis, Interfaces, and Integration department, you will work as an engineer in charge of interface and integration management between the various project markets for the construction of the high-speed rail line (LGV). Your responsibilities will focus on managing the technical interfaces between the different subsystems of the railway project (track, signaling, power, rolling stock, etc.) to ensure consistent and secure system integration.

Main responsibilities / Consultant's duties

  • Defining the interface and integration management plan adapted to the projects
  • The identification and formalization of technical interfaces between the lots (infrastructure, system, rolling stock, etc.), then the development and updating of interface matrices.
  • Drafting interface descriptions and defining stakeholders and their roles (owner, pilot, contributor, etc.)
  • Continuous monitoring of the proper understanding of the incumbents' records and interaction with technical managers for correction or completion -
  • The management and facilitation of interface meetings between the holders of each contract and the coordination of technical exchanges between the various stakeholders (project management, project owners, suppliers, manufacturers)
  • Managing and monitoring the record of decisions and actions taken during interface meetings
  • Defining system integration plans (strategy, planning, resources)
  • Participating in the definition and management of interface requirements and ensuring their consideration and traceability.
  • Participation in the management of risks related to integration
  • Drafting summary notes, progress reports and interface documents

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Engineering school (Engineering degree or equivalent +5 years minimum with general scientific training or electromechanical, electrical engineering or computer science), you have at least 10 years of experience in studies and works of major high-speed rail projects and operated networks in railway equipment:

  • Good knowledge of railway systems (infrastructure, signalling, energy, rolling stock)
  • Proficiency in systems engineering processes (V-cycle, requirements management, etc.)
  • Skills in multi-disciplinary technical coordination
  • You have a good understanding of high-speed rail standards and reference documents.
  • You have proven qualities in managing work teams; leadership and the ability to unite teams.
  • You are fluent in French.
