Roles & Responsibilities

Supervises the activities and work of direct reports by providing mentoring and guidance to ensure that work with is carried out efficiently in line with the individual's targets, assist with providing feedback to direct reports when targets or goals are not being achieved and work with the individual to improve performance.


Complete own and supervised tasks accurately by utilising knowledge of the engine overhaul process, company procedures as well as the use of the ESM, IPC, CMM, SB's and AD's ensuring paperwork and MRO ERP (IFS) system tasks are completed progressively and in accordance with company procedures.


Apply knowledge of tooling and equipment and facility to carry out the tasks in a safe manner to the highest of quality standards. Supervise direct reports to ensure compliance to safety and quality procedures.


Participate and promote a safe working environment in alignment with EEMC Safety policy. Ensure reporting any non-conformance in safety and quality immediately via company procedures. Act to mitigate any observed unsafe condition and prevent any incident, ensure all 'near miss' situations are reported via company procedures and highlighted to Line manager or Operations Manager.


Ensure own attendance and direct reports are in alignment with sectional shift pattern, actively participate in all meetings, projects and use skills and knowledge to contribute to improvements to process, increased efficiency or better practice.


Assist direct reports with development of competencies, mentor technicians and mechanics and identify areas of improvement to achieve the desired skill level.


Provide assistance and guidance to Technicians with application for approvals focusing on regulatory and compliance guidelines.


Staff annual business contribution evaluation (MyBC) to effectively set the staff's goals and competencies through conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering in Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Maintenance, Avionics, Electronics Tech Engineering
  • OR Valid Maintenance Engineering Licence
  • OR apprenticeship (at least 2 to 3 years) and Holder of Engine shop authorisations comparable to an existing EEMC Engine Overhaul Engineer III.
  • 7+ years in aviation maintenance environment as an Aircraft/Engine Technician with a reputable airline or MRO company.

  • Experienced and competent in engine test preparation, inclusive of incoming/arrival inspections ,borescope, Engine run-up, functional & performance testing inclusive of engine trouble shooting component removal and installation, installation and removal of all test enabling hardware and components.
  • Understand the statistical process control charts used in Engine trend monitoring and take necessary actions as per the OEM recommended trending (GE Intellegent Test Cell) critical and secondary alerts.
  • Engine preservation and post run-up detailed inspections. Engine data acquisition system DAS configuration setup, ASE2000 software revision updating, backup, restore & verification.
  • Lead the team in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as test cell systems verification and troubleshooting.
  • Report any defects using Engine MRO (IFS) service & maintenance quick reporting system.
  • Complete duplicate inspections or critical task inspections as required.
