Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a competent, dynamic and patient-focused EMERGENCY CARE MANAGER to join the Department of Hospital Care and Hygiene at HUIR. He/she will be responsible for supervising and organizing the paramedical activity of the emergency department, while managing the department's schedule and organizing emergency care, leading the team and coordinating the resources of the emergency department while ensuring the efficiency and quality of services, and coordinating with the medical staff and paramedical staff.
Its main missions will be structured around the following axes:
1. Comp tences manag riales et de leadership :
- Team management: Recruitment, training, evaluation, leadership and motivation of emergency teams.
- Ability to reframe and discipline negligent emergency team members, according to HR procedures.
- Ability to ensure that emergency paramedic staff adhere to the HUIR vision and organizational project.
- Skills management of emergency team members: skills development through continuing education.
- Coordination and organization: Organization of work, planning of activities, management of emergency department schedules.
- Delegation: Ability to empower employees and promote self-organization within emergencies.
- Ability to delegate and distribute tasks among emergency team members.
- Leadership: Ability to unite the emergency team around common objectives.
- Conflict Management: Resolving conflicts within the emergency team.
2. Technical and methodological skills:
- Resource Management: Management of human, material and financial resources in the emergency department.
- Quality management: Implementation of quality indicators and evaluation of professional practices in emergency rooms.
- Knowledge of regulations: Compliance with standards and procedures in force within emergencies.
- Knowledge of care protocols: Application of care protocols and procedures specific to emergencies.
- Proficiency in IT tools: Use of management and monitoring tools specific to the emergency department.
3. Interpersonal skills:
- Effective communication with different interlocutors (patients, emergency physicians, other health professionals, hierarchy).
- Teamwork: Collaboration with other hospital departments, particularly in managing the flow of emergencies.
- Sense of public service: Commitment to patients received in the emergency room and to the establishment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Profile
- Nursing Diploma;
- Significant professional experience of at least five (5) years;
- Know how to organize and coordinate emergency care activities;
- Ability to manage human and material resources in the emergency department, optimize the use of human and material resources in the emergency department;
- Ability to ensure the quality and safety of emergency care, develop a culture of quality within the emergency team;
- Ability to manage risks in emergencies: identify and assess risks specific to the service, implement appropriate prevention actions;
- Ability to train and support: ability to transmit knowledge and facilitate learning in the face of changes in the health system and new technologies in the context of emergencies;
- Mastery of the French language (written and oral);
- Knowledge of the English language is an asset;
- Strong team management and human resources management skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills;
- Ability to manage conflicts, work under pressure and make decisions in complex situations;
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility and good organization;
- High adaptability, effective time management, ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously;
- Empathy, rigor, availability and diligence.
