Roles & Responsibilities

THIS JOB REQUIREMENT IS ONLY FOR SHORT-TERM (40 DAYS)

We require technicians specialized and experience with steam turbine inspection and maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technicians shall support Siemens TFA during the Steam Turbine Generator minor inspection, which includes assistance in:

· Visual inspection of stator and rotor through manhole and borescope.

· Measurement of insulation resistance for stator, rotor, and RTDs.

· Inspection of end windings, spacers, circuit rings, pressure plates, and OCP insulation.

· Checking cooler inlets/outlets, leakage, and internal coating condition.

· Measuring bearing clearances and pedestal insulation resistance.

· Inspecting slip rings, carbon brushes, and brush holder assembly.

· Checking generator protection and supervisory equipment (temperature gauges, alarms, grounding, and leakage systems).

· Supporting cleaning, reassembly, and documentation as instructed by Siemens Engineer.

· Following all site safety and LOTO procedures during work execution.

Skill Requirements for Technicians

· Minimum 8 years’ experience in generator maintenance in power plants.

· Should have at least experience of 2 STG outage work.

· Familiar with generator components and inspection tools.

· Experience in handling borescopes, insulation tester (megger), and bearing inspection tools.

· Knowledge of plant safety and permit-to-work procedures.

4. Safety and Compliance

· All work shall be executed under valid PTW (Permit to Work) in coordination with HSE and Shift In-Charge.

· Ensure use of PPE and strict adherence to site safety rules and isolation procedures.

· Follow OEM and site-specific quality standards throughout the activity.

5. Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain daily manpower attendance, work logs, and progress reports.

· Document all inspection readings, measurement data, and photographic evidence where applicable.

· Submit completion reports for each major activity or turbine subsystem.
