Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, including motors, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, and lighting systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults in coordination with the maintenance and operations teams.
  • Support maintenance and inspection of electrical systems for high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) applications.
  • Assist in the calibration, testing, and replacement of electrical components and control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Support installation and commissioning activities for new or upgraded electrical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with instrumentation and control teams to ensure effective plant automation and monitoring.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, cable trays, grounding systems, and junction boxes.
  • Report unsafe conditions and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures strictly during maintenance work.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in an industrial facility, ideally in water desalination, utilities, or process plants.
  • Strong working knowledge of motors, VFDs, control panels, power distribution systems, and basic instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with SWRO plants or water treatment processes is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and working in HV/LV environments is essential.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms and basic computer literacy.
