Job Title: Electrical Technician – SWRO O&M Project

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Project Type: Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) – Operations & Maintenance
Reports to: Electrical Supervisor / O&M Manager

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for executing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on all electrical systems and equipment within the SWRO plant to ensure optimal and uninterrupted operation. This includes LV/MV systems, motors, control panels, power distribution, and instrumentation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in the desalination plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in motors, control circuits, switchgears, lighting, and power distribution networks.
• Assist in the calibration and testing of electrical components and protective relays.
• Support the commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities of plant electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, electrical load data, and spares usage.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and electrical codes (IEC, NEC, or equivalent).
• Coordinate with control room operators and other technicians to ensure smooth plant operation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvements for electrical systems.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses promptly.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in water desalination, power, or process plant environments.
• Familiarity with SWRO technologies and equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical protection systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Working knowledge of maintenance software (CMMS).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Must adhere strictly to safety protocols.
