Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems in RO plants, including MCCs, VFDs, transformers, LV panels, and backup generators.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of new or modified electrical equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults (e.g., VFDs, motors, control panels) and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes (IEC, NEC) and safety/environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to optimize energy efficiency and plant performance.
- Prepare electrical design documents, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and cable schedules.
- Lead and train electrical technicians and junior engineers.
- Monitor power consumption and develop energy-saving initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects.
- Interface with utility providers to ensure stable power supply.
