Job Purpose:

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong experience in the design and supervision of electrical systems in infrastructure and building projects, especially in accordance with Dubai DEWA standards. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing designs, reviewing submittals, and ensuring project compliance across a variety of developments including residential, commercial, and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review of electrical systems: lighting, power distribution, LV, ELV, and grounding systems.
• Prepare design drawings, BOQs, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with DEWA and international codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, and mechanical disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Liaise with Dubai authorities (DEWA, DM, etc.) for approvals and compliance.
• Supervise on-site electrical installations and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries during construction phases.
• Support infrastructure projects including street lighting, utilities, and building power supply.
• Stay up-to-date with local authority regulations and ensure designs align with the latest standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 8 years of experience in electrical design and site supervision, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, Dubai building codes, and international electrical standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, Revit MEP, and relevant engineering software.
• Experience with consultant engineering firms is required.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DEWA-approved Engineer is an advantage.
• Experience with infrastructure projects (utilities, roads, lighting).
• Familiarity with ADDC/SEWA/FEWA (additional advantage).
