Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performing planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all the activities of the electricity generation and distribution systems, maintaining and repairing the generators, devices, and electrical equipment, and installing and repairing lines and cables in the hospital.
• Preparing and updating the work procedures manual including the procedures to be followed in case of a power cut in the main devices and equipment.
• Setting up and periodically reviewing the preventive maintenance programs and inspecting all the parts of generation and distribution of electricity so as to ensure a high level of efficiency.
• Plan and maintain the BMS, fire safety systems, low current systems, etc.
• Setting up the work programs and assigning duties for technicians.
• Preparing the continuous education and training programs to qualify the staff.
• The continuous coordination with other maintenance branches to set up an integrated maintenance program in the hospital, especially for those who work in the operating stations and boilers, and who maintain the medical equipment and buildings.
• Coordinating with different departments in the hospital to execute the maintenance program.
• Offering technical assistance to the workers in the sites of activities.
• Evaluating the staff performance and submitting the necessary recommendations.
• Providing tools, devices, and spare parts, which are necessary for maintenance in coordination with the concerned directions.
• Attending the meetings and symposiums related to electrical maintenance.
• Supervising the indexing, keeping files and catalogs pertaining to the electrical maintenance.
• Submitting periodical reports to the head of the department.
• Taking part in the quality assurance program in the hospital and supervising the implementation of its part concerning electrical maintenance.
• Carrying out any other tasks charged to him within his field of specialization.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering
• Four years experience in electrical equipment maintenance in a hospital environment.
• CBAHI and/or JCI experience is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD, CAM, and MATLAB/LabView programs.
• Ability to run simulations and analyze test data.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of electrical standards specifications.
• The ability of supervision and continuous follow-up.
• The ability to set training programs and work procedures.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• The ability to communicate and establishing good relations with others.
