Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Prepare Feasibility Study Reports, Bid, Basic and Detail Engineering deliverables for Renewable Energy Projects, producing quality deliverables at every stage.
2. Prepare Design Basis, Electrical Control Philosophy, Technical Specification for Control & Relay Panel, SAS/SCADA and other monitoring systems, Fault/Disturbance Recorder, Tariff Metering Panel, PLCC, Communication System, DC & UPS System, DC/UPS/Control/ Communication Cable.
3. Prepare Protection SLD, DC/UPS SLD, Control & Protection Schematics, SCADA Architecture Diagram, Communication Network Diagram, Electrical Layout drawings for Renewable Energy Projects.
4. Prepare DC/UPS/Control/ Communication Cable Schedule, Inter-connection Schedule and Drum-cutting Schedule.
5. Prepare Vendor Evaluation Report and Technical Bid Evaluation Report.
6. Responsible for the coordination and communication of power plant connecting to the power grid.
7. Co-ordinate with Owner / Owner’s Engineers / Vendors for timely approval of design documents.
8. Provide site support to resolve issues for timely completion of project within budgeted cost.
9. Perform cost optimization.
10. Calculate and select the CT ratio, and determine the CT/PT capacity.
11. Calculate the DC load to select the battery capacity, and configure matching charging modules.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical
2. 5-8 years of basic and detail design experience, preferably in design institutes.
3. At least “5 years” or “5 executed projects” detail design experience for Renewable Energy Projects(Wind power/ Photovoltaic /Electrochemical energy storage, all kinds of power generation capacity are not less than 100MW power generation capacity). Middle-East experience preferred.
4. With 220kV and above substation protection, monitoring, measurement, metering and other electrical design experience.
5. Conversant with International Code and Standards like IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEMA, ANSI, BS, etc.
6. Conversant with Electrical Engineering Software like AutoCAD and PDMS.
7. Fluent in English Communication – both written and spoken. Should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with Owner/Vendor to sort out and resolve issues and maintain on-time delivery.
