Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems within the facility. This includes power distribution, lighting, control systems, emergency systems, and energy efficiency initiatives. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance schedules, and supports the seamless operation of the facility.


Key Responsibilities:


Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of electrical systems (low voltage, medium voltage, and control systems).


Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.


Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide prompt corrective action.


Assist in planning and executing electrical upgrades, renovations, and energy-saving projects.


Prepare technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and drawings when needed.


Supervise contractors and ensure work meets company standards.


Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.


Implement and monitor electrical safety procedures and training.


Conduct risk assessments related to electrical systems.


Monitor energy consumption and suggest efficiency improvements.


Support sustainability initiatives and recommend energy-saving technologies.


Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.


Prepare reports on system performance, downtime, and improvement plans.


Update as-built drawings and technical documentation.


Qualifications & Skills:


Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


Minimum 3 5 years of experience in electrical systems within facility management, construction, or maintenance.


Strong knowledge of power distribution, control panels, UPS, generators, and emergency systems.


Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is a plus.


Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.


Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
