Electrical BIM Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain electrical BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD MEP.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural) to ensure model integration and clash-free designs.
• Review and implement project BIM execution plans and standards for electrical systems.
• Generate and manage electrical drawings, layouts, and schedules derived from the BIM model.
• Conduct clash detection, coordination meetings, and issue resolution with project teams.
• Support the design team in developing accurate documentation, including shop drawings, wiring diagrams, lighting plans, and panel schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built models and documentation at project completion.
• Maintain model quality control, including compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to junior BIM staff as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical BIM coordination on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM software (Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, etc.).
• Understanding of electrical design codes, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
