Editorial Content Director

We re partnering with our client to spot an experienced and driven Editorial Content Director to join their Editorial team. This role requires outstanding communication, strong leadership, a deep understanding of design, and a proven history of delivering AAA-quality games.

As the Editorial Content Director, you ll work closely with the VP and senior leadership to help shape new intellectual properties. Using your industry knowledge, you ll define and prioritize player experience objectives to ensure every game meets the highest standards of quality and aligns with the studio s editorial vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Editorial Guidelines: Establish and maintain clear editorial standards to ensure consistency across all game content.
• Content Strategy: Develop a Content Studio strategy and create IPs that distinguish the company in the marketplace and reflect our unique identity.
• Creative Leadership: Lead the creative direction and content development for the company, fostering innovation and aligning new ideas with market trends and studio objectives.
• Content Consistency: Ensure all content is on-brand, and consistent in style, quality, and tone. Oversee the review process to ensure each project meets validation standards, offering suggestions to improve the overall player experience.
• Brand Alignment: Work with brand teams to ensure all projects adhere to brand guidelines, boosting the marketability of our titles.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with production teams to ensure high-quality content that supports game pillars and IP goals. Guide the creative process from early conception through to final polish, ensuring alignment with design intentions across various aspects, including level design, AI, scripting, and more.
• Gamer Experience: Ensure the highest level of player experience across game genres, driving innovation in game design and content.

Qualifications:

• Experience working across multiple game genres, including Open World, Online Multiplayer, Narrative, Action-Adventure, and Live Games (games-as-a-service), as well as familiarity with both F2P and Premium business models and various platforms.
• Must have shipped at least 3 AAA games, with a background in game production or editorial teams at a high level.
