We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echo Cardiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in diagnosing cardiac conditions using ultrasound technology. As an Echo Cardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, analyzing the results, and contributing to treatment plans. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for assisting in the provision of optimal cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and advanced echocardiograms on patients in clinical settings.
• Work closely with cardiologists to review and interpret echocardiogram results.
• Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of echocardiogram equipment and tools.
• Prepare detailed reports based on echocardiogram findings for cardiologists.
• Conduct stress echocardiography and provide preliminary interpretations.
• Explain procedures effectively to patients to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Maintain patient records and enter accurate data into healthcare systems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards during procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior echo technologists.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography techniques.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development activities.
• Coordinate scheduling and organization of echocardiogram procedures efficiently.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiac Ultrasound or related field.
• Certification by a relevant body such as the ARDMS or CCI is required.
• Minimum of two years experience in performing echocardiograms.
• Proficiency in using advanced echocardiography equipment and tools.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret ultrasound data and patient symptoms.
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
