Job Description

Position : E-Commerce Director

Client Industry : Alternative Medicine

Work Hours (Client) : 9:00am - 9:00pm EST

Pay Range : $4,000-$7,000/month depending on experience and location

Location of Search : Preference: South Africa(but also open to LATAM and PH)

Work Location : REMOTE

Background

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the overall e-commerce strategy, with a focus on site optimization, analytics, conversion rate improvement, and A/B testing. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset who is obsessed with performance metrics and user experience.

You ll work closely with our design, development, and marketing teams to ensure every aspect of the customer journey is optimized for growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end e-commerce strategy across all platforms
  • Conduct deep analysis of site performance and implement CRO tactics
  • Lead A/B testing, user journey optimization, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with design, UX, and SEO teams to enhance on-site experience
  • Set KPIs, create dashboards, and report insights to executive stakeholders
  • Identify and test new tools, features, and technologies to improve funnel efficiency
  • Manage or coordinate with outsourced specialists and developers as needed

What Were Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in e-commerce leadership or performance marketing roles.
  • Proven success improving conversion rates, bounce rates, and revenue per session.
  • Deep knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred), analytics (GA4), and testing tools (e.g. Optimizely, Hotjar, etc.).
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize and execute quickly.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing remote teams.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English with confident communication
  • Strong experience with Zapier or Make.com (automation portfolio preferred)
  • Solid command of Google Sheets/Excel for tracking and reporting
  • Familiarity with AI tools (GPTs, Opus Clip, Claude, etc.)
  • Background in marketing operations, demand gen, or technical content strategy

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience scaling DTC brands in international markets
  • Familiarity with design, UX, and technical SEO best practices
  • Experience managing paid media or integrating performance data with content strategy
  • Background in working with global teams, especially across LATAM, South Africa, and Southeast
  • Asia
