Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of passengers or goods.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Plan and navigate routes using GPS and maps to optimize travel time and avoid delays.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Handle loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing passenger or client needs and concerns during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record to promote safety.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues to ensure operational readiness.
  • Stay informed about local and national transportation regulations and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver's license relevant to the vehicle type.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations, especially in urban environments.
  • Possession of a clean driving record, with no serious violations within the past 3 years.
  • Certification in defensive driving or transportation safety is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus to serve diverse clients.
  • Proficient in using GPS and navigation apps to enhance route efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and dispatch.
  • Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks, including lifting heavy items.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
