Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
What are you going to do
• Design and implement drilling fluid programs for offshore operations.
• Monitor and adjust the chemical properties of drilling fluids to optimize drilling performance.
• Conduct tests and analyses to evaluate fluid properties and performance.
• Collaborate with the drilling team to troubleshoot any drilling fluid-related issues.
• Manage inventory and supply of drilling fluid materials and chemicals.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and proper disposal of drilling waste.
• Document all drilling fluid activities and provide reports to the drilling supervisor.
• Train and supervise junior fluid technicians and mud engineers.
Essential skills and knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling fluid management
• Mandatory experience with water-based mud (Polymer mud)
• Offshore experience preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of drilling operations and fluid dynamics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
• Valid offshore survival and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certification.
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of offshore work.
