Job Vacancy: Draftsman – Shop Drawings (Joinery & Fit-Out)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman – Shop Drawings to join our Technical Department. The role involves preparing detailed and accurate technical/shop drawings for joinery, furniture, and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and production feasibility.

The Draftsman will collaborate closely with senior draftsmen, site engineers, foremen, and production teams to ensure precision, efficiency, and smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings including specifications, materials, and accessories.
• Revise/update drawings based on internal and client feedback.
• Coordinate with site engineers and foremen for site verification and accurate dimensions.
• Support the production team by clarifying technical details and troubleshooting issues.
• Suggest material and process improvements for better quality and efficiency.
• Maintain organized records and reports of drawing progress and submissions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in joinery, furniture, or fit-out drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D software (SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of materials, joinery accessories, and production methods.
• Ability to interpret architectural/ID drawings and translate them into shop drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
