Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Purchasing, Supplier Coordination & Risk Management
- Lead the purchasing activities for assigned industrial components and services, from PO issuance to order fulfillment.
- Follow the sourcing strategy and ensure stability of supply through accurate tracking of due and advance payments.
- Actively resolve quality issues with suppliers, secure timely compensation, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate closely with sourcing, logistics, finance, and suppliers to ensure lead time commitments are met.
- Raise flags and escalate risks as needed through the agreed escalation matrix to maintain smooth operations.
- Participate in budget-related activities for assigned commodities in support of purchasing targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and system updates related to procurement activities.
- Contribute to relevant projects, initiatives, and cross-functional meetings that enhance procurement performance.
- Support quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety systems within the procurement function.
Essential Skills & Qualifications: Industrial Procurement Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreign purchasing or industrial procurement.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Economics.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier coordination.
- Skilled in communication, problem-solving, and handling operational priorities.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and payment cycles.
- Proficient in MS Office; ERP experience is a plus.
- Fluent English is required.
