About The Role

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Events to lead our Events Department and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of world-class events at our luxury 5-star property. The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience in high-end hospitality, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maximize revenue, and position the hotel as a premier destination for MICE and social events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Events team in planning, organizing, and executing events, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement event sales strategies to achieve departmental and hotel revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with corporate, leisure, and social accounts.
  • Partner with Sales, F&B, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and event packages to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum revenue generation.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Drive innovation in event concepts, experiences, and offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Provide leadership, training, and performance management to the Events team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.


Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 7 10 years of progressive events management experience in a luxury 5-star hotel or leading events venue.
  • Strong expertise in MICE, weddings, and social events with a proven record of successful large-scale event execution.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance revenue generation and guest experience.
  • Deep understanding of local and international markets, trends, and client expectations.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
