Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles using specialist diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults.
- Make clear diagnoses of complex electronic systems at the instruction of the Service Advisor, often in the presence of the customer.
- Ensure all customer complaints are accurately diagnosed, corrected, and documented with a completed quote.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections using VDS testers and guided fault-finding programs.
- Review complete vehicle history/records and other information to determine necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with Parts Advisor, Team Leader, and Workshop Controller to ensure correct parts are ordered.
- Stay updated with factory technical bulletins and participate in ongoing training.
- Highlight and address all pending technical/warranty campaigns for MG vehicles.
- Distinguish between operational issues, system behavior, and technical faults.
- Ensure complaints related to networking, communication systems, and distributed functions are properly diagnosed and corrected.
- Maintain an inventory of special diagnostic tools.
- Follow warranty processes and prepare required technical reports.
- Report any quality issues on new vehicles.
- Supervise and mentor diagnosis team members, ensuring proper tool usage and adherence to MG guidelines & IEM SOPs.
- Maintain professional appearance, positive attitude, and a clean, organized work environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Master Technician.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: High Diploma in Mechanics.
Certification: Certified Master Technician qualification (mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 2 3 years of relevant work experience (Automotive Senior Mechanic, Electrician, or Mechatronics Engineer).
Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic preferred.
License: Valid UAE Driving License is a must.
Skills & Abilities: Computer literate; familiarity with telephone and workshop systems.
