Job Description

As a DHA Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in the healthcare sector in Dubai by ensuring that patients receive the right medications safely and efficaciously. You will be instrumental in delivering pharmacy services to patients and healthcare providers by engaging with them to understand medical needs, dispensing medications, and offering expert advice on drug usage. Working in compliance with the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DHA) regulations, you will maintain accurate records, oversee inventory, and provide continuous customer service improvements. Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate dispensing of medications as per DHA regulations and prescriptions.
  • Maintain up-to-date pharmaceutical records in adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
  • Provide expert advice to patients on medication usage, effects, and potential interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans effectively.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory by ordering, stocking, and maintaining drug supplies efficiently.
  • Operate and manage electronic prescribing and record-keeping systems accurately.
  • Conduct patient consultations to discuss their healthcare and medication requirements.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity before proceeding to dispense medications.
  • Educate patients and the community about health initiatives and preventive measures.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure effective pharmacy operations.
  • Stay informed on new pharmaceutical developments and local regulatory changes.
  • Provide specialized support and training to pharmacy assistants and new staff.

Requirements
  • Must possess a valid DHA license to practice pharmacy in Dubai.
  • A bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in retail or healthcare pharmacy.
  • Thorough knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Proficiency in pharmaceutical software applications and electronic prescribing tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
