Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and software applications to ensure smooth user experience and productivity.
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
  • Conduct regular system updates and patches, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and implementing solutions to safeguard company data.
  • Perform hardware upgrades and repairs, assessing equipment needs and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Document troubleshooting processes and solutions in a knowledge base, improving team efficiency and end-user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new technologies and ensure seamless integration into existing systems and workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and usage metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical principles.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a desktop support role, showcasing expertise in troubleshooting and user support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar credentials to validate skills.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment, particularly in industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology, to understand sector-specific challenges.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools, enhancing efficiency in managing user requests and incidents.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective interaction with users and documentation of technical processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive workplace culture and shared goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for quick identification of issues and implementation of effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for technology, continuously seeking to learn and adapt to evolving IT landscapes.
