You'll be responsible for:

• Directing the design teams to deliver strategic outcomes and meet project KPIs across real estate developments.
• Managing client-facing design issues, ensuring strong relationships and responsive communication.
• Implementing design management systems and protocols to meet legal, contractual, and statutory requirements.
• Guiding daily activities of design resources, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, quality, and sustainability goals.
• Supporting long-term strategy development for the business unit, contributing to a sustainable future.
• Fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment that promotes well-being and professional growth.
• Leveraging Mace s centres of excellence and knowledge hub to apply best practice and drive innovation.
• Advocating for safety and compliance, applying local HSE regulations and Mace s HSW framework across design activities.

You'll need to have:

• An architecture background and professional membership (e.g. RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT) or equivalent demonstrable development.
• Proven experience delivering complex real estate projects with strong consultancy and construction expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of building safety legislation, standards, contracts, appointments, and HSE regulations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and understanding of sustainability and carbon impacts on project delivery.
