Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to define and refine engineering strategies, contributing to the overall construction roadmap and vision.
- Mentor and coach engineering team members, fostering their professional growth and development through regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Contribute to the improvement of civil engineering processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing effective solutions.
- Oversee and ensure the effective execution of civil construction projects, guaranteeing adherence to engineering designs, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and construction professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and submittals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, including identifying potential hazards, developing contingency plans, and implementing safety measures.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure project success.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to improve project outcomes.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering teams and other departments, ensuring alignment and smooth workflows.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in engineering principles.
- Holds a Civil Engineer license issued by Abu Dhabi Municipality, showcasing a commitment to professional standards and ethical practice (preferable but not mandatory).
- Has a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Exhibits strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, enabling effective resolution of complex engineering challenges.
