Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: The Deployment Specialist is responsible for coordinating the release of a product and ensuring it reaches the clients who need it. This role involves executing the deployment of software throughout the development lifecycle according to defined processes and investigating and resolving issues as they arise.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate all activities related to site preparations, installation, configuration, and commissioning of the company's software solutions.
- Execute deployment tasks according to the DevOps Lead deployment plans.
- Maintain documentation for user guides and system guides.
- Maintain knowledge of current applications.
- Validate that the product has been correctly packaged before deployment and ensure that all release controls have been satisfied.
- Work closely with the Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Quality Assurance Team Leader to coordinate all project-related deployment activities.
- Coordinate with the Clients on project-related activities (Deliveries, Deployment, and Go-Live).
- Report weekly progress on customer projects and site statuses and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Export data from various tools and analyze/evaluate compiling data for leadership reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Competencies:
- Azure, TFS, or Git.
- Firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and SSL certificates.
- Database systems like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Desired Candidate Profile
2. Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
3. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT, Software development lifecycle, or QA. Experience in on-site deployment is a plus.
