Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organizing and stoking the clinical materials and hardware, in addition to sterilizing the instruments and disinfecting the work surfaces.
• Preparing the patient records a day before the appointment or prior to an emergency patient.
• Organize the patient s appointments as directed by the Clinician.
• Seating the patient in the clinic, draping the patients as needed, and opening the pre-prepared instruments packs.
• Stocking the Operatory as directed by the Clinician.
• Taking and developing the needed radiographs.
• Documenting the date and vital signs in the dental record and giving the record to the clinician to place the needed documentation and signature.
• Writing the patient s information and treatment provided in the statistics sheet.
• When the Laboratory Technician is not available, the assistant pours the dental impression.
• Demonstrate proper knowledge & implementation to the hospital & departmental policies & procedures.
• Participate in all quality improvement activities within his/her department.
• Be aware of Standard Precautions for Infection Control and implement the Infection Control guidelines in day-to-day activities.
• Show Compliance with laws & regulations governing the privacy & confidentiality of data & information.
• Show compliance to standards of ethical conduct.
• Comply with CBAHI standards and other regulations.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
• Minimum of 1-year experience for non-Saudis.
• Special training or experience in Dentistry.
• Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Registered Nurse / Nurse Technician or at least dataflow is done.
• For supervisory positions such as a head nurse or in-charge nurse, a minimum of 2-3 years of managerial experience is needed.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required according to the specialty and relevant training.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of regulations established by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties related to healthcare practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
