Roles & Responsibilities
The past couple of years have proven that Supply Chains of today are subject to exponentially increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA); resulting in a few major and many minor disruptions all around the globe. On the flip side, technological advancements in the area of big data, artificial intelligence (a.o. machine learning), cloud, etc. have shown to hold potential to significantly increase the capabilities of a company to weather these storms, amongst others in the space of supply chain & network operations.
Here at Deloitte, we bring these two exponential trends together within our Supply Chain Analytics & Intelligence Practice, to equip our clients with the right tools to obtain agile, effective & efficient supply chains. We design & implement Cognitive Command Centres, enabled by E2E visibility (through data integration, dashboarding and alerting) on the one hand, and decision intelligence (through Machine Learning and Process Automation) on the other. On our journey to the self-driving digital supply network, we are closely collaborating with Aera Technology, a leading innovator in the area of cognitive operating systems.
Within this context, we are looking for Solution Architects and Skill Builders who have profound experience in the field of Supply Chain Operations, while having a strong data & analytical mindset, keen on becoming an expert in the domain of Cognitive Command Centres enabled by Decision Intelligence
As a Skill Builder you
- Are triggered by the dream of a self-driving supply chain , where different types of day-to-day to strategic decisions are augmented and (partially) automated through various types of analytics & AI capabilities
- Are eager to build experience on the intersect between functional requirements & technical enablement with the objective of identifying, designing, implementing, and operating digital products in the form of decision intelligence use cases
- Commit to leveraging your technical (analytics & AI) knowledge to translate functional solution requirements into effective, sustainable, and scalable architectures that serve as the backbone of the solution
- Are determined to develop a deep understanding of Decision Intelligence solutions (e.g. Aera Technology), and you want to keep a focus on Decision Intelligence implementation projects to grow our practice
- Will collaborate on the development of Decision Intelligence Solutions, thereby performing hands-on implementation activities as part of a bigger implementation team
Typical activities include
- Supporting Decision Intelligence Roadmaps , where you help envision & optimize the client s journey from their burning platform today, to a state of E2E supply chain orchestration , agility and resilience enabled through decision intelligence
- Supporting Solution Design of Decision Intelligence skills through creative thinking and translating business needs into functional, UI/UX and technical detailed requirements, and onwards into a working solution
- Collaborating on the Solution Implementation of Decision Intelligence skills using a wide range of data, analytics & AI capabilities present in the selected Decision Intelligence platform(s)
- Working in small teams (e.g. 3 5 people) of expert roles (e.g. Skill Builders, UI builders and Decision Intelligence Functional Experts) located in different geographies
- Applying Data Analytics Best Practices across the different project phases and activities with a strong focus on simplicity, scalability, efficiency, and transparency
Desired Candidate Profile
You need:
- Preferably, a Master's degree with a specialization in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Computer Sciences, Optimization Techniques, Production Management, Logistics, or equivalent
- You have 3 - 7 years of professional experience in a Supply Chain meets Data & Analytics context, and combine both functional and technical skills
- Any prior exposure to Decision Intelligence is an asset, either as an end-user, an implementation consultant, or product specialist. If not, you have been exposed to solutions such as Aera Technology, Anaplan, c3.ai, Snowflake, Alteryx,
Preferred Skills:
- Strong data management skills : e.g. you are well-versed in the world of ETL and relational databases, you are proficient in using SQL & DBA, Java experience is a plus
- You have data visualization experience : e.g. UX design, dashboard design, process modelling, business rule modelling
- Theoretical or operational experience in Supply Chain, Control Towers & Decision Intelligence (incl. data science) is a key asset (commonly referred to as S&OE)
- You are a team player , and you have an intellectual curiosity and drive to continuously learn. You have a proven track record of leading small teams of 3-5 people.
- You have good communication skills , and you are fluent in English. Good knowledge of an additional language is an advantage
