Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) as an outsource to join our dynamic team at a major telecom enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering or computer science background and will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor database health, implement tuning strategies, and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
  • Manage database security by controlling access permissions and privileges.
  • Perform regular database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and optimize database structures for new and existing applications.
  • Automate routine database maintenance tasks to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for internal reference.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and team members regarding database-related issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DBA in a large-scale environment.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
